Sovereign Debt Workshop: Designing a Restructuring Process that Works for All
Description:
Jubilee USA and New Rules for Global Finance will host a workshop to discuss the current state of debt restructuring and options for advancing a process that works for all. We will discuss the content of the “Sovereign Debt Restructuring” consultative paper, prepared by the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). Eric LeCompte will lead a discussion about the status of the Argentina situation as well as the recent UN General Assembly Resolution supporting a global solution to this persistent problem. There will be an update from Southern partners, including Jubilee’s partners from Zambia.
