Project Syndicate published an article by Domenico Lombardi and Barry Eichengreen that discusses Ukraine’s current situation with regards to sovereign debt. They urge the IMF to remove the 2010 systemic exemption to address some of the challenges inherent in persuading creditors to agree to a re-profiling, which they argue is the best option for cases like Ukraine.
